At the Con Ed 2025 E-Mobility Awards ceremony on June 16, Sprocket Power received both the SmartCharge Tech Developer & the E-Mobility Innovation awards.
Sprocket Power, a recognized national leader in the engineering, installation, and operation of microgrids, is thrilled to be recognized by Con Edison, a national leader in transportation electrification and innovative models in the energy transition.
As stated by Sprocket Power CEO and Cofounder, Maria Fields, at the awards ceremony, “The operation of a microgrid in the Con Ed grid delivers substantial benefits system-wide. Microgrids bring capacity and resiliency to areas of the grid that need them most. However, achieving these outcomes involves substantial complexity and expertise. Key to achieving economic performance is active real-time monitoring and optimization”. In the highly-constrained NY grid, these resources are especially valuable.

Sprocket Power is thrilled to be highlighted in this way and is excited to track the ongoing performance of these projects and their demonstrated benefits. As stated by Maria Fields, “It is early days in incorporating these customer-sited resources into grid planning, and we look forward to further collaboration with the Con Ed team on the role of microgrids in the energy transition”.
